Just wanted to write a quick note about these auditions. It was run very efficiently - they were on time, very kind and personable, gave each auditionee a book from which to play with all the excerpts highlighted (I've never experienced this - and it was refreshing!!!), had food and drinks in the waiting room, and actually asked us to comment/question/voice concerns over how we thought the auditions were run. Nice to know that some orchestras out there care, and are working to make our experiences as pleasant as possible. Kudos to Florida Orchestra, and to Andrea Kaplan, who finally won the position!
