If you have an opportunity for professional advancement; why not take it? And, regardless of the results, preparing for the audition will motivate you towards personal advancement.

wuvider,

Retaking sub list auditions can become rather annoying. That being said, I would caution you not to dismiss an opportunity to do so. By preparing well and showing up, you are definitely letting people know that you are interested and willing to work hard for a job. People will notice. Those same people may have to pass up a gig opportunity at some point and think of that hard working person who keeps taking the sub audition. No promises, of course, but it can NEVER hurt. The only way it could be detrimental to your career is if you do not prepare properly for the audition.
I would be surprised if anyone thought re-taking a sub list audition would be a bad idea, but would be very interested in hearing their reasons and thoughts if they did. Hope this helps!
