Well, I’m back! Back from a trip to the mainland, specifically, to attend the International Double Reed Society's Convention, held this year at Ithaca College. I had a great time, heard a lot of music, saw a lot of old friends, visited most of the 78 exhibitor tables selling everything double reed, from tools to CD’s, sheet music and other toys for the double reed enthusiast. I also got a chance to visit with my family and see old friends that I hadn’t seen in a while.

Coming back to Hawaii there was an e-mail from myauditions, reminding me that I hadn’t entered anything in this blog since February. February!! Time flies, whether or not you’re having a good time, apparently! What’s more, the e-mail indicated that this blog would be taken down if I didn’t reply by a date that had already passed. The deal is that we bloggers have agreed to post at least one entry a month. Not that I’ll get paid any less (or more)- it’s a freebie, but I want to stay current with my obligations if possible. Fortunately I was able get my blog re-instated so I’ll have this soapbox available for a bit longer.

Actually, I’ve been writing articles for this blog, just never ‘finished’ any to the point of posting them, so I’ll dust them off in the weeks to come and try to catch up with the missing months.

All I have to do is to clean off my desk, which is covered with a few weeks of accumulated bills and junk mail, catch up with other household chores and I’ll be back to posting as soon as possible.
