I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about last weekend's auditions for the Haddonfield Symphony? (specifically winds) Or if anyone knew when to expect any notification? Thanks!

I sent an email to Michael Volpert, Director of Artistic Operations & Education to find out results but no response. Had a very close friend audition for the principal bass and he has not heard back from them as of yet.

Hmmm, the delay does not surprise me in the least. I applied for a post with this organisation, took a LOT of trouble and expense to get there and NEVER had any response back from them about the result of my application, despite emails requesting feedback etc.

Of course, it was quickly obvious I had not been successful, but the common courtesy of hearing this from them would have been nice. Oh and no comments please that orchestra offices do not have time for this kind of admin. I've been and done it myself and thanks to the wonders of modern technology you can do a standard polite "thanks but no thanks" email to numerous people in just a few seconds...

Sorry if I sound harsh but this is one thing which makes me mad as there is quite simply no excuse!

Well I guess I am not the only one who has heard nothing. I was going to call them today but lost track of time. Keep me posted if you hear any info.

I heard that Bianca Garcia (student at Curtis) is a new member of the flute section.

Here are some of the results:

Bianca Garcia was hired as 3rd Flute/Piccolo and Sophia Anastasia (former 3rd Flute/Piccolo) is the new 2nd Flute. Jeremy Kesselman won Principal Oboe (former 2nd Oboe of Haddonfield Symphony and currently 2nd Oboe with Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia) and Michelle Duskey won 2nd Oboe.
