I'm new to all this, so please excuse any mistakes I may make!

I was just wondering if anyone (especially our European counterparts) could give any information on the Orquestra do Norte in Portugal. I see that they are currently advertising for a full horn section. Does anyone have any opinions on why this may be or if it could be a bad reflection on relations in the orchestra etc?

They are advertising for almost every position in the orchestra.Perhaps it is just starting up?

I was warned before I went and disregarded the info I saw, thinking it couldn't be that bad. But it is 100 times worse.

Also, if anyone saw the news article on the german conductor who was arrested for violating job codes, etc. This is exactly the same kind of orchestra.

There is a reason this orchestra has no website, as well.

This orchestra has been in existence since 1990~ The "music director" posts every position every year.

There was a great thread about this group on ************* on the message board. There is no more message board primarily because of the postings in regards to this orquestra!

Oh, I hadn't realised they were advertising for so many posts, but I know for a fact that this orchestra has been established for a number of years.
