Does anyone know where violin sight reading material at an audition usually comes from for a second violin position? Would it usually be 1st or 2nd violin parts, or could it be either?

Who said it had to come from a violin part? Or a symphony?

I have taken auditions, I am pretty sure they were all first violin but some might have been advertised section with no 1 or 2. Here is what I have sight-read:

Stravinsky Soldiers tale (!)
Stravinsky Firebird (Vn1)
Rachmaninoff Symphony 2 ( 2nd mvmt ) Second Vln
Brahms 2 ist violin
Hindemith Symphonic Metamorphosis 1st vln
Mozart ??? 1st
Piece on manuscript paper, in ink. Could have been for violin or tuba, have no clue
