Hello:
I am the Coordinator for a new Multi-Disciplinary Arts Festival that will occur in Philadelphia in May of 2009.

This is a festival that seeks to specifically showcase Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Trans Artists, who are emerging or mid career. however we will have a day where there is a showcase of "straight allies" who support the GLBT community.

The festival will feature artists from the mid Atlantic region--PA, DE, NJ, VA, DC, MD, CT and NY.

We seem to be having a problem locating Musical Artists for this festival. We have several Actors, Film Makers, Dancers and people from other areas of the Arts. However, we can't seem to grab the attention of Musicians!

We are starting to prepare information for schools in the region. That will go out Shortly after the turn of the year, to allow them time to settle back into the semester.

What is the best way to do this?
We are in the process of calling for auditions now.

Advice from anyone is so greatly appreciated.
