Hi,

Anyone know the outcome of the Florida Orchestra concertmaster auditions?? I believe it was yesterday and today. who where the finalist?? Who is the winner??

This from the St. Petersburg Times:

"Two violinists emerged as finalists from concertmaster auditions held by the Florida Orchestra. Jeff Multer, acting concertmaster for the 2005-06 season, was one finalist. The other was Tamas Kocsis, concertmaster of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. Kocsis will be invited to perform as concertmaster during the season, as the orchestra evaluates his suitability for the position."

There were 4 "finalists" in the Florida Concertmaster Audition.

Assia Dulgerska - Louisville Orchestra, Assistant Concertmaster
Tamas Kocsis - Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Concertmaster
John Macfarlane - Evansville Phiharmonic Orchestra, Concertmaster
Jeff Multer - Florida Orchestra, Acting Concertmaster for 2005-2006.

Of those 4 finalists, Kocsis and Multer will be performing as concertmaster during the season.
