Hi Justin,

Enjoyed reading this article. But, I wonder, since you appear to be technically astute with the Internet, why not build a database or better yet a part of your Web site that caters specifically to your freelance musicians. They enter all their information and you can set it up so as to alert them, say once a month, to keep their info updated. You can also set it up for your ranking system and whenever you need to pull from the list, you can query your database. And, you can even let them upload their MP3's!

By doing so, I think you would have a lot less frustration.

I enjoy reading your blog. What kind of contract do your musicians sign? Is there a standard agreement posted on your website? Is the contract a "take it or leave it" type of agreement?
