OK, I will make some brief comments on these additional four excerpts. I have a continuing suggestion in that you need to make more dramatic dynamic contrast. I will point out some specific places. This excerpt you play quite well. Some minor things: the first two eigths should be more off the string. Maybe this a recording issue, but it sounds like you are playing those two notes on the string. Downbeat of measure 9 can be a longer quarter. The only other thing is that the chord at Letter A; in an audition setting, maybe just play the top three notes so as not to get bogged down on tempo or style following. Very well executed otherwise.

Hi Rita,
The opening chord w/ the open a and d strings is fine, but I would not play full chords after that. The next two notes, (D), could be shorter and lighter. Also, watch not to make such exaggerated swells on the quintuplets.

Very good – I would ditto Robert and Michael’s comments, except that to my ear your swells/accents on the quintuplets were appropriate – shows you the diversity of opinion on panels, eh? :-) Here’s what I would add beyond their comments:

1. Be careful not to tend sharp in the phrase beginning at rehearsal 1.
2. Watch your overall pulse – as is the natural tendency, you tend to play the louder, more virtuosic parts slightly faster and the more lyrical parts slightly slower. Also note that whenever you are playing sharp articulations, that slows you down as well.
