It was so wonderful to witness young pianists, vocalists, guitarists etc enter the audition room at the CUNY Graduate Center (City University of New York) auditioning for a DMA in music yesterday. To see and hear young artists from all over the world keeping the traditions alive, was a sight for sore eyes, especially since the music inductry news is always flooded with complaints about programming, budgets, $$ etc. These young people are hot and ready to have the challenges--and are very talented indeed. Aspiring artists reading: follow your dreams!
