I'm in Springfield, Mass. with Kevin Rhodes conducting the Liebermann 3rd this weekend--he's truly a marvelous musician, and the players hailing from New York, Boston and the region play this new score with ease and extremely well.

Just catching up with news--and have signed my recital cd from 1997--yes, that far back!--with a provider through The Orchard in Scandinavia. Even though word has it that downloading music is primarily the source of distribution, I read an article today that stated regular cd sales are still at the top of the buying market. With it all, it seems easier to have this classical novelty available online. Here's the scoop:

In 1997, pianist Jeffrey Biegel pioneered the first live audio/video internet piano recitals in New York and Amsterdam. The recording engineer cleverly reorded a DAT master simultaneously which resulted in a commercially released cd titled, cyberecital.com.
