My last blog about a chamber concert this month was not meant to plug the concert--I probably should have included this blog--it was meant to stir interest amongst the myauditions family to take the idea to the players and conductor of their orchestras to do outreach concerts with the conductor (if he/she is an active instrumentalist), guest soloist and other orchestra players. This increases visibility for the orchestra as an entity---not the soloist as much, because the people going to hear the concerto would go anyway. It gives the conductor and/or orchestra players an outlet to do chamber music together, get closer outside of 'the box' and gives the public a chance to experience them as players in a different capacity. Hope it is a helpful idea.
