I can't believe that in one year's time of diligent work on the Lowell Liebermann 'Concerto no. 3' consortium project, we are 95% complete. Indeed, five years ago, putting together a consortium of over 25 orchestras seemed a bit easier--orchestras are surely concerned these days, and rightfully so. However, I see health and good vision returning across the US and a rejuvenation happening. I am proud to share that the following orchestras are in the 06-07&07-08 project: Milwaukee (World Premiere), Schleswig Holstein (European Premiere), Xalapa (Mexican Premiere), San Diego, Hartford, Colorado, South Dakota (just yesterday!), Springfield (MA), Glens Falls (NY), South Bend (OH) and still waiting for news from several other wonderful orchestras here and abroad. I hope in 20 years to be attending performances of the new concerto performed by other pianists!
